Academic Requirements

Learners are expected to hold a recognised secondary school qualification or equivalent.

Mature applicants without formal qualifications may be considered on the basis of relevant work experience and their ability to meet the demands of the programme.
English Language Requirements
Learners must demonstrate English language proficiency sufficient to successfully engage with programme materials, participate in learning activities, and complete assessments. This may be evidenced through prior education completed in English or through a recognised English language qualification.
For learners whose first language is not English, an IELTS 5.5 (overall) or above is normally accepted for entry to the diploma. Equivalent English language proficiency may include:

Explores how to translate an event concept into a cohesive experience, covering theme, layout, décor, staging, and audiovisual elements.
Covers the practical coordination of venues, catering, equipment, and the many moving parts that make an event run smoothly.
Examines how to secure sponsors and manage the suppliers and vendors essential to delivering a successful event.
Develops the skills to promote events and drive attendance through digital channels, social media, and partnerships.
Teaches how to build and manage an event budget, track expenses, and ensure events remain financially viable.
Introduces the planning and management of business events such as meetings, conferences, and conventions.
Covers how to identify, plan for, and manage the risks and safety considerations involved in hosting events.
Prepares students for the job market with résumé and cover-letter writing, interview practice, professional networking, and job-search strategies tailored to their field.

Program Description
This diploma introduces students to the planning, coordination, promotion, and delivery of events. Students learn about event logistics, budgeting, vendor coordination, customer service, marketing, risk awareness, scheduling, and professional communication.
